Who we areThe Public Service Reform Programme Office has been established to co-ordinate and manage the implementation of the reform programme in the Education and Training Sector. Our role- Drive Public Service Reform and accountability across the Education and Training Sector
- Co-ordinate the development and implementation of the Integrated Reform Delivery Plan (IRDP), the Shared Services Plan and the External Service Delivery Plan for the sector,
- Report to the Education and Training Reform Board and to the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform on progress against these plans
- Support programmes and projects to deliver on the commitments within the IRDP including the development of robust programme and project governance structures across the Department
What we do- Develop and implement a standardised project management process, with a set of project templates, resource guides with common terminology
- Review methodologies used by the Department and adopt recommendations from previous ‘lessons learned’
- Arrange Programme and Project Management training, coordinate training in areas of Change Management, External Service Delivery, Shared Services
- Provide support in all areas of Programme and Project Management, including Project Planning, Benefits Realisation, advise project managers on the day to day running of their projects
- Develop a document repository for all project documentation so that project managers can benefit from work carried out on similar projects
