Who we are
Skillnets is a state funded, enterprise-led body established in 1999 and funded from the National Training Fund through the Department of Education and Skills (DES).
Since 1999, Skillnets has funded over 400 networks and almost 70,000 enterprises to train over 300,000 employees.
What we do
Skillnets funds training networks that provide subsidised training to companies and employees, and free training to job-seekers, through a number of key programmes:
Training for employees and job-seekers
- Training Networks Programme (TNP) supports training across a wide range of industry sectors and geographical regions.
- Finuas Networks Programme (Finuas) supports specialised training in the international financial services (IFS) sector.
Training and work placement for job-seekers
- Job-seeker Support Programme (JSSP) supports training and work placements for job-seekers.
Management development training with mentoring for SME managers
- Management Works supports a range of management development training opportunities along with mentoring support for SME managers.
