The Department has consolidated eleven areas of Terms and Conditions of Employment for Registered Teachers in Recognised Primary and Post Primary schools as follows:

The electronic book titled ”Terms and Condition of Employment for Registered Teachers in Recognised Primary and Post Primary Schools” - Edition 2 contains eleven chapters in relation to the aforementioned areas. This Edition replaces Edition 1, and in addition replaces all previous circulars, memoranda, rules and regulations in relation to these areas.
Teachers and Special Needs Assistants (SNAs)
The Terms and Conditions Section of the Department regulates the employment terms and conditions governing teachers and special needs assistants employed in recognised primary and post primary schools. This section also regulates and monitors statutory and non-statutory leave entitlements for teachers and SNAs.
