25 June, 2015 - Minister O’Sullivan announces appointments to the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment board

The Minister for Education and Skills, Jan O’Sullivan TD, today announced appointments to the board of the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA).

The appointments are for a period of three years and six months, to end on 31 December, 2018. 

The Council is a statutory body established under the Education Act. It advises the Minister on curriculum and assessment matters in early childhood, primary and post-primary education.

Minister O’Sullivan said: “The NCCA play a key role in developing, planning and reviewing curriculum and assessment provision in our schools. The curriculum provides a foundation to enable individuals to achieve their full potential and participate fully as members of society.”

The Minister welcomed the new appointees and wished them well in their important roles.
