Retirement and Pensions Information for Teaching Staff
This page is for teachers in primary, secondary, community and comprehensive schools. Pension Unit administers and processes retirement applications and provides statements of benefits for teachers who are members of the teachers' pension schemes and are paid salary through the payroll of the Department of Education and Skills.
The Department processes applications under each of the categories outlined in the table at the bottom of the page.
A Pensions Modeller is now available for school staff who receive salary directly from this Department and are in membership of a pension scheme (subject to certain limitations which are detailed on the Modeller application).
