Why do I need a P45 or P60?
P45 and P60s are legal documents and should be carefully retained. You will be required to submit them to Revenue when changing employer or filing tax returns. You may also be required to provide your P60 to the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection or other organisations as proof of income or PRSI contributions.
When will I receive last year's P60?
All P60's and Statements of Annual Earnings to serving Primary teachers, Post Primary teachers, non-teaching staff (NTS i.e. SNAs and Clerical staff) and retired Primary, Post Primary and NTS pensioners issue automatically at the end of February early March each year. You do not need to request these documents they will issue to the address that your fortnightly pay slip is posted to.
