Thank you to everyone who voted for our project, Department of Education & Skills (DOES) A Nationwide Energy Research Programme for Schools. Votes are currently being counted.
The schools energy research programme, in place since 1997 offers leadership, excellence and an embodied commitment to the sustainable design, build and operation of all schools. SEAI have recognised this with a number of energy awards in the past 10 years. Our programme has also received other national and international awards.
All technologies and design approaches are tested to ensure compatibility with schools’ operational requirements, with all successful outcomes incorporated into all projects.
See more at www.energyineducation.ie the energy saving portal for school management, teachers, pupils and parents advising how to save energy in schools and also for designers and builders on how to achieve low energy schools.
The work of our research programme continues with over 40 different research strands developed, all at different stages, some complete, others starting, all providing valuable feedback and knowledge.
The programme success is based on a strong 16 year partnership with schools, teachers, pupils, parents, industry and SEAI.
